Certificate Courses are offered at two different levels of complexity: Level 1 (Advanced Rhythm Strip Analysis) offers up to 16 contact hours of continuing education and is approved for NPs and PAs, and can be used by ECG/Telemetry Techs who need to diagnose arrhythmias seen on a cardiac monitor. RNs may claim 20 CE Contact Hours. Physicians (MDs and DOs) may claim 25 hours of Category 1 CME (see below). This course is perfect for anyone looking to start a new career as a telemetry tech.
The combined Level 1 and Level 2 (12-lead Interpretation) course awards 28 hours of CE/CME to NPs and PAs. Nurses may claim 32 CE contact hours. Physicians may claim up to 38 hours of Category 1 CME (See below). The Level 1+2 Certificate Course is designed for those who want to be able to independently interpret 12-lead ECGs. Technicians and students will receive a certificate of completion and may claim continuing education credit for the time they spent learning ECG Interpretation.
The Certificate Courses use our unique ECG Academy video tutorials broken into sections that each cover a particular topic. Click here to see the topics covered at each level. After each group of videos are Practice Questions to test your knowledge. At the end of each section there is a short graded quiz to reinforce the information and to measure your proficiency. At the end of each Level is a major exam. Completion of the program qualifies the participant to receive a "Certificate of Completion," and allow you to claim your CME/CE awards.
